Anurag Thakur slams Congress, urges re-election of BJP in Haryana

Former Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched a scathing attack on the Congress, accusing it of exploiting farmers during its regime. At rallies in Gharaunda and Assandh, Thakur alleged that the Congress purchased farmers’ lands at throwaway prices under Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s government.

Thakur criticised the former government’s corruption, citing large-scale land deals that benefited industrialists while leaving farmers empty-handed. He highlighted Congress’ past failures, including national security and defence issues, and multiple terror attacks during their rule.

In contrast, Thakur praised BJP’s welfare initiatives, including monthly assistance for women and subsidised gas cylinders. He emphasised the Agnipath scheme’s job security benefits and accused the Himachal Pradesh government of failing to fulfil election promises.

Thakur assured voters that if BJP returned to power, it would continue Haryana’s progress under the “non-stop development” agenda, promoting “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”. He criticised Rahul Gandhi for allegedly spreading falsehoods about the Modi government.

Thakur expressed confidence in BJP’s victory in the upcoming elections, urging people to vote for BJP candidates.
