Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture Arjun Ram Meghwal has assured the Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial Trust that the ministry would make a provision for an annual grant to maintain the historic monument.

A team of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), led by the Union Minister of State, took stock of the Jallianwala Bagh on Saturday. Shwait Malik, a member of the Trust, said after the matter of regular maintenance was brought to the notice of the visiting minister that he announced to spare funds for the same.
