The Amritsar (Rural) police have arrested two youth for allegedly possessing an illegal country-made pistol along with two live bullets. Those arrested were identified as Sukhraj Singh and Gupreet Singh, alias Golu, residents of Rasulpur Kalan village in Jandiala.
The police said two bike-borne youth were signalled to stop at a naka laid at the Chabba bus stop. However, they crossed over the road and tried to flee towards Varpal village. A police party led by Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Hardeep Singh chased and arrested them.
The police said during search, a pistol was recovered from Gurpreet Singh and bullets seized from Sukhraj Singh.
