Three narco smugglers held with contraband by BSF
The Border Security Force (BSF) has nabbed three persons involved in drug smuggling from the border area of Amritsar. Acting on information by BSF intelligence wing regarding movement of narco-smugglers during the evening hours of October 29, the BSF troops promptly laid an ambush in the suspected area.
As the BSF team located three suspected persons on a motorcycle searching for something, it tactically approached towards them and successfully caught them all and recovered one packet of suspected heroin (gross weight 530 grams) at about 07.05 p.m.
Further, two smart phones, a motorcycle and Indian currency were also recovered from their possession. This operation took place near the area adjacent to the border village of Roranwala Khurd in the district. The accused have been identified as residents of Roranwala Khurd village and Attari village in Amritsar. Further, they have been handed over to the local police for detailed investigation and to divulge their links with Pak-based narco syndicate.
