Set goals in life to succeed, ETO advises govt school students
Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today paid a surprise visit to students and staff at Government Senior Secondary School, Mallia, in Jandiala Guru constituency. During his visit, ETO visited the classes and interacted with the students, asking questions and also teaching a thing or two. He also reviewed the academic and sports activities and interacted with the staff.
He advised the students to be decisive in life. “Some of you will become politicians, doctors, engineers and senior government officials. It is a matter of great pride that a large number of students have managed to get more than 90 per cent marks from government schools and every student must set a goal in life during studies and work tirelessly to achieve that goal to succeed,” he said.
ETO also interacted with the school teachers and learned about their challenges and issues. He assured them all support and development in upgrading government schools and putting them at par with private schools.
“We have been focused on raising the standard of public education and turning government schools into technology-driven institutions of learning,” he said.
