Baba Sukha Singh, head of the Kar Sewa sect, Sarhali, has called upon youth to come forward to eradicate the drug menace in Punjab. He expressed these views while addressing the Sangat in Ratta Gudda village on Thursday. The sect head said that there were frequent reports about the recovery and seizure of drones and drugs from across the border which was a serious threat for the state’s youth. Baba Sukha Singh urged the youth to love the playground and get involved in social activities to serve the people. He told residents that they can get sports material from the Kar Sewa sect, Sarhali, which provides equipment to the sports clubs in villages.

The residents honoured Baba Sukha Singh for his service rendered to save the flood affected farmers in 2023 and in providing wheat seeds and fertilisers to them. Baba Sukha Singh lauded the residents for having worked selflessly during the devastating floods and for contributing in rebuilding river embankments, and noted that those challenging times had passed. It may be mentioned that the floods had caused massive silting in fields affecting agricultural work.
