The Amritsar rural police have arrested a robber with a revolver here today. He was wanted in a robbery case that took place six months ago.

The accused was identified as Bachitar Singh of Rajoke village in Tarn Taran. The police recovered a .32 bore revolver and a car from his possession.

Jhilmil Singh, SHO, Chatiwind police station, said the revolver would be sent for forensic examination. The same revolver was used by the accused in a robbery case in April this year. He had been evading arrest since then. He said his backward and forward linkages were being ascertained and those found involved in the robbery would be arrested.
