Petrol pump staff robbed at gunpoint

Two unidentified robbers snatched Rs23,000 cash and two mobile phones from workers of a petrol pump on Sultanwind Road at gunpoint late on Monday.
Petrol pump owner Sanjeev Kumar told the police that around 10.30 pm, two motorcyclists came to the pump with faces covered with masks. There were three employees at the pump — Ajay Kumar, Vijay Kumar and a watchman. The motorcyclists first filled petrol worth Rs400 and later snatched the bag containing cash at gunpoint. After snatching the bag, the robbers also snatched two mobile phones of the pump workers.
On the complaint of petrol pump owner, the police have launched an investigation, but no arrest has been made so far. The police have examined the CCTV footage. The action of robbers was recorded but their identities have not been revealed.
Inspector Gurwinder Singh SHO B Division police station said investigation was underway and the miscreants would be arrested soon.
