Nothing was given to Punjab by the Manmohan Singh-led Congress government at the Centre during its 10 year rule. The water of Punjab was diverted from Sutlej to Yamuna during the Congress regime, said Malik.
Targeting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Malik said, “Since two years, local body elections have not been held as the AAP fears losing in the polls. The promise of Rs 1,000 per month for women has not fulfilled. Development works have stopped in Punjab. Sand mafia, drug mafia, land mafia and liquor mafia is flourishing under the pressure of gangsters and terrorists.”
“Oppression of farmers, traders, industrialists, government employees, youth, women and Dalits has become a common in Punjab. The AAP made a false promise to the people of Punjab to open Mohalla Clinics, new schools, colleges and hospitals,” said Malik.
