The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organised a medical camp in Central Jail, Goindwal Sahib, on Friday in which 103 undertrials and convicts were examined and given medicines.

The medical camp was held under the supervision of Shilpa, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Tarn Taran.

A team of medical officers comprising Dr Satwinder Singh, Dr Manmohan Singh and the jail staff — performed their duties.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Shilpa informed the undertrials and convicts of their right to submit appeal to the next court in cases pertaining to them. Forms were filled to provide free legal aid to the needy.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate advised the convicts to lead their lives as responsible citizens after release from jail.
