A woman and her brother were critically injured when they fell from the railway flyover near 22 number railway crossing here on late Sunday evening.

The incident occurred when a speeding car hit their scooter. While the woman, identified as Kirti, was stated to be out of danger, her brother Parkash was critical. The police have registered a case against unknown occupants of the car who fled the scene after people gathered at the spot.

As per information, the victims were going from Khalsa College to the Islamabad side on their scooter when a speeding car hit their scooter from the rear. Parkash who was driving the scooter lost the balance and hit the safety walls of the flyover and fell off the bridge. Onlookers immediately rushed them to hospital.

The police said on getting information, a police team reached there.

“We have registered an FIR against unknown occupants of the car who fled the spot leaving behind the car ,” said Mandeep Kaur, SHO, Gate Hakima police station.
