Khalsa College bags first position in youth festival
A-Zone Youth Festival of colleges in Amritsar district affiliated to the Guru Nanak Dev University concluded at Dasmesh Auditorium of the varsity. In ‘A’ division, Khalsa College, Amritsar, bagged the first position, Guru Nanak Dev University secured the second position and Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, was adjudged the third best team.
In ‘B’ division, Shahzada Nand College, Green Avenue, Amritsar, secured the first position, Trai Shatabdi Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Amritsar, was second and SDSPM College for Women, Rayya, got the third position in the festival.
The festival encompassed a wide range of competitions, including theatre, fine arts and literary events, which brought out the exceptional skills and creativity of the participating colleges. Prof Ashwani Luthra, Director, MMTTC & Director, IQAC, was the chief guest on the occasion. Prof Luthra and Prof Preet Mohinder Singh Bedi, Dean Students’ Welfare, along with Dr Amandeep Singh, in-charge, Youth Welfare, presented trophies to the winners.
Prof Bedi congratulated the victorious teams and encouraged the participants to continue their journey with unwavering dedication.
“The A-Zone Youth Festival was an extraordinary display of youth talent and creativity. It left a lasting impact on the audience and served as a testament to the boundless potential of the students,” he said in his address.
