Harjinder Singh Dhami congratulates Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh on appointment as Indian Air Force Chief
Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami has congratulated Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh on his appointment as the Chief of the Indian Air Force.
Dhami said it was a matter of great pride for Punjabis, especially Sikhs that a Sikh officer would lead the Air Force of the country.
“Earlier, Air Marshal Arjan Singh served as the Chief of the Indian Air Force for a long time. Punjabis, especially Sikhs have contributed immensely in defending borders of the country. The Sikh youth should compete for higher positions while taking guidance from the history,” he said.
Dhami expressed hope that Air Marshal Amar Preet Singh would work for the advancement of Sikh identity by wearing a turban and adopt the path shown by gurus.
