Four smugglers arrested, heroin, drug money seized

The Chheharta police arrested four drug smugglers and recovered 275 gm of heroin, Rs 10.40 lakh drug money and two vehicles from them in two separate incidents here today. In the first incident, Shivdarshan Singh, ACP (West), said Chheharta SHO Robin Hans along with his team arrested three persons and recovered 175 gm of heroin, Rs 1.2 lakh drug money, a Swift car and a Scorpio vehicle from them. The arrested suspects were identified as Sukhchain Singh, alias Kala Suro, of Jhanjoti village, Amritpal Singh, alias Pal, of Madhosaga village and Harman Singh of Jhanjoti village.

The suspects were arrested at a naka laid near the Mor Kale Ghanupur bypass. During investigation they confessed about more drug money. On their disclosure, Rs 9.2 lakh and a Scorpio vehicle were recovered from them by the police. In another incident, the Chheharta police arrested Narinder Singh of Nanakpura in Guru Ki Wadali village and recovered 100 gm of heroin and Rs 2,690 drug money from him.
