Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer visits sports centres
Amritsar, April 16
Punjab Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer along with district sports officials and coaches visited the grounds of various coaching centres running handball, football, judo, athletics etc. at Khalsa School here on Saturday.
He also visited the coaching centres for cycling, gymnastics, wrestling and others in the GNDU and interacted with sportspersons. The players apprised him of the achievements of the last sports session. He emphasised on making the youth interested in sports to elevate the sports standard in state.
On the occasion, MLA Dr Ajay Gupta, MLA Jeevan Jyot Kaur, Nitu, kabaddi coach, Daljit Singh, football coach, Simranjit Singh, cycling coach, Jaspreet Singh, boxing coach, Akashdeep Singh, gymnastics Coach, Harjit Singh, table tennis coach, Savita Kumari, athletics coach, Nitu Bala, gymnastics coach, Jaswant Singh, handball coach, Karamjit Singh, judo Coach, Rajni Saini, gymnastics coach, Balbir Singh, gymnastics coach, Sahil Hans, wrestling coach, Basant Singh, wrestling coach and Jatinder Singh were present.
