The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Harmit Singh Kalka has approached Akal Takht and submitted a complaint against former DSGMC chief Harwinder Singh Sarna for allegedly challenging the authority of the Sikhs’ highest temporal seat.

Kalka alleged that Sarna had been demeaning the authority of Akal Takht by passing on adverse remarks. He has also submitted a video clip to substantiate his complaint.

“No one has the right to undermine the authority of Akal Takht. Akal Takht had declared Sukhbir ‘tankhaiah’ while indicting him and his coterie for controversial decisions taken during their government’s regime, but it seems to have not gone down well with Sarna. He had questioned Akal Takht’s move to convene a meeting of Sikh scholars to have their suggestions over the issue,” he said.
