Delegation visits Kartarpur Sahib to mark Gurpurb
A delegation of FICCI Ladies Organisation, Amritsar Chapter, led by Chairperson Dr Simarpreet Sandhu and Senior Vice-Chairperson Mona Singh, embarked on a pilgrimage to Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan to mark the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev. A symbolic visit titled ‘Saanjh’ by delegates, including FLO national chairperson Joyshree Das Verma, brought together over 200 entrepreneurs from various fields.
The event was formally flagged off by MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla.
Verma said this was an endeavour to honour and propagate the teachings of Guru Nanak. FLO Pune Chapter, led by Chairperson Pinky Rajpal, joined the delegation in solidarity. This collaborative initiative was made possible in association with the Land Port Authority of India, highlighting the significance of cross-border harmony and shared heritage.
Dr Sandhu, said, “The visit symbolised a heartfelt homage to Guru Nanak Dev and underscored the unity of FLO chapters, reflecting the enduring legacy of the Guru’s message of peace, oneness and compassion. The 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji will be remembered as a milestone, strengthening cultural and spiritual bonds among communities and inspiring future generations to cherish these values.”
