CKD to establish Sikh Education Board
The Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD) has announced to establish a Sikh Education Board, after seeking permission from the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh. The office-bearers of the Chief Khalsa Diwan had requested about the resolutions passed by Akal Takht for approval to form a Sikh Education Board.
Chief Khalsa Diwan president Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, informed that establishing a Sikh Education Board for the future of the nation is the main need of the times.
“Sikh children will be introduced to their religion and heritage, Sikh morals, Sikh principles, and can also be connected with Sikh history,” said Nijjar.
Nijjar said that the cooperation and support of educational experts and scholars will definitely be taken to establish the Sikh Education Board. “With this, while the nation will be strengthened in terms of education, the Sikh national consciousness will also be nurtured for the sake of the advancement of Sikhs at global level.”
Sikh children will be introduced to their religion and heritage, Sikh morals and principles. They will also be connected with the Sikh history.
