Civil Surgeon Dr Kirandeep Kaur conducted a surprise check at various health institutions here on Saturday and asked the employees to improve medical facilities for the patients. The Civil Surgeon visited the Satellite Hospital and Aam Aadmi Clinic at Saktri Bagh, Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) and Aam Aadmi Clinic at Bhagatanwala, Jodh Nagar, East Mohan Nagar, Focal Point, Gwal Mandi, Putlighar and Aam Aadmi Clinic, Ranjit Avenue.

A second team of the Health Department led by Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr Rajinder Pal Kaur visited the Aam Aadmi Clinic in Tehsilpura, Nawanpind, Jandiala Guru and the Community Health Centre, Mananwala.

During the checking, the officials found employees missing from their seats at various clinics. The department has taken strict notice of the absentees and notices have been issued to them, said the Civil Surgeon.

Apart from OPD services, medicines, lab tests and online records were checked. The Civil Surgeon said employees were warned against laxity in services to the patients. She said all clinics and hospitals have been asked to ensure punctuality and cleanliness patients.
