Gurdaspur: A successful teacher training workshop on ‘learning outcomes and pedagogies’ was organised at Delhi Public School, Gurdaspur, under the CBSE’s capacity-building programme. Around 60 teachers from various schools participated. Led by resource persons — Harwant Singh and Ravinder Kaur — the workshop provided in-depth knowledge that greatly benefitted related to Bloom’s Taxonomy were conducted, and comprehensive information was shared through audio-visual presentations. The workshop included several engaging activities, allowing teachers to actively participate and enhance their understanding. Many activities related to Bloom’s Taxonomy were conducted, and comprehensive information was shared through audio-visual presentations. At the end of the workshop, the speakers were honoured with special mementos as a token of appreciation.

School bags distributed to needy

Amritsar: Namdhari Sanstha, led by Bhupinder Kaur, the president of the Namdhari Sanstha Women’s Wing, distributed school bags to needy students at two free coaching centres in Amritsar district. These centres, located in Jahajgarh and Guru Amardas Colony, also held an exhibition showcasing useful items made from waste materials. To celebrate the festive season, students recited religious songs and Shabad Gurbani.

Religious exam at Convent School

Amritsar: Saint Soldier Elite Convent School in Jandiala Guru conducted a religious examination organised by the Sri Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Amritsar. Students were given a syllabus and completed their exams successfully. Ibadat Kaur, Sehaj Preet Kaur, Prabh Simran Kaur, Simarpreet Kaur and Gurnurpreet Kaur received trophies and certificates for their outstanding performances. Additionally, several students were awarded medals and certificates for excellence. The school’s managing director, Dr Mangal Singh Kishanpuri and the principal, Amarpreet Kaur, congratulated the winners and their teacher, Jagroop Kaur. The vice-principal, Gurpreet Kaur, along with staff and students, were also present to celebrate the achievements.

Sunny Mahajan is life member of PCA

Amritsar: Sunny Mahajan, the director of Partap World School in Pathankot, has been honoured with a life membership of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) in Mohali. This recognition highlights his decade-long commitment to promoting and developing cricket in Pathankot. His efforts include organising district-level competitions, sponsoring cricket teams and improving local infrastructure. Notably, Mahajan brought the first international cricket academy to Pathankot in collaboration with renowned cricketer Harbhajan Singh. Expressing his gratitude, Mahajan stated, “I am deeply honoured by the recognition from PCA. I will continue to work diligently to support and nurture cricket talent in Pathankot and beyond,” emphasising his dedication to empowering young cricketers with opportunities and world-class facilities.
