Amritsar: The students of St Kabir Public School, Sultanpur, have won eight gold medals, two silver and seven bronze medals in district-level boxing competitions in the 75th District Level School Games organised by Punjab School Education Department. Principal S.B Nair and administrators Navdeep Kaur and Kuldeep Kaur said during the two-day competitions held at Rankarj School recently, St Kabir School participated in the U-17 and U-19 (different weight categories) boxing competitions. Among the gold medal winners are Sukhleen Kaur (50 kg), Tania (48), Manavdeep Kaur (52), Arusi (80), Agamjot Singh (70), Navjot Singh (50), Davinder Singh (70) and Supandeep. These eight students have been selected for the state level competitions. Apart from these two students Palakpreet Kaur and Kamani Salariyan won the silver and seven students Adras Kapil, Mankeerat Singh, Sehalpreet Singh, Gurjot Singh, Anmolpreet Singh, Tinku Salariyan, Abhijot Singh, Ekamjot Singh and Gagandeep Singh won the bronze.

Stalwarts World School

Stalwarts World School hosted the Block Elementary Games, featuring events in yoga, karate, gymnastics, chess and badminton. The school’s talented athletes brought glory by securing the top positions and winning multiple medals. In the U-11 girls’ badminton category, the team — Kashish Rajput, Kahnvi Mahajan, Krittika Rajput and Sakshi — won the gold medal. The U-11 boys’ badminton team, comprising Vedansh, Aryan, Pratham and Aditya, secured the second position, taking home the silver. The gymnastics team, represented by Sayesha Bedi, Aradhya Mahajan, Devanshi and Geetanjali Kapoor, showcased remarkable skills and bagged the gold in the U-11 category. The karate team also won the gold. In yoga, the U-11 team — Aravjeet, Samarth, Bakshdeep and Naksh — demonstrated their agility and balance, earning the gold medal and securing the first position.

EuroKids School

Amritsar: EuroKids School organised a special Dasehra celebration, highlighting the significance of the festival with vibrant Ravana artwork created by the students. Under the guidance of Principal Kirti Matta, the event aimed to instill the values of good over evil, as symbolised by the burning of Ravana. Matta lauded the efforts of the students and staff, emphasising the importance of preserving cultural traditions while encouraging creativity among young minds.
