The Border Security Force seized three drones in separate incidents, besides seizing 480 gm of contraband during the last 24 hours. The drones were recovered from Mullankot, Daoke and Rajatal villages located near the India-Pakistan border.

A BSF spokesman in a statement issued here on Saturday said that a drone in broken condition was found from an agricultural field in Mullakot village at around 11.58 am and another drone in damaged condition was recovered at around 12.50 pm from a paddy field ahead of the barbed fence at Daoke village. The police also confiscated a packet containing 480-gm heroin with a drone. Similarly, a damaged drone was found at around 12.50 pm at Rajatal village.

The BSF said all the drones were China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic. Complaints were lodged with the Punjab Police for registering FIRs in this connection. They said the BSF was committed to preventing any illicit movement of Pakistani drones from across the border by using intelligence network, thereby smashing the nefarious designs of Pakistan-based anti-national elements.
