Amritsar, January 18

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) posted at the bus stand police chowki suffered a cardiac arrest after chasing a suspected criminal, who was allegedly fleeing from police custody.

Before being sent to jail, the suspect was taken to Jallianwala Bagh Memorial Civil Hospital for medical examination. He, however, dodged the cops and fled. ASI Paramjit Singh chased and caught him near the bus stand. The ASI brought the suspect back to the hospital.
