Till date, 8,500 stray dogs have been sterilised in different parts of the city. At present, stray dogs from Central, East and South Assembly constituency areas have been sterilised. A separate tractor-trailer has also been put on duty with a team to catch dogs and redress the complaints of the public. After treatment, these dogs are kept with the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), Hathi Gate.
