Four NCC cadets from DAV College, Hathi Gate, are set to join the Army as officers. Cadet Under Officer Yugraj Singh and cadet Akash from 11 Punjab Battalion, NCC, have been selected for commissioning in the Army as Agniveer. Jashan Preet Singh and Cadet Prabhjeet Singh have already been recruited in the Army.

Principal Dr Amardeep Gupta felicitated the cadets and said that this significant achievement marks a pivotal moment in the career of cadets and reflects their unwavering dedication and commitment in serving our nation. “These cadets will undergo rigorous training and education to prepare for a future as an Army officer,” he said.

Commanding Officer, NCC, Col Birendra Kumar added that their journey is a testament to the hard work, perseverance and leadership qualities they have exhibited throughout their time in NCC.

Captain Kamal Kishore and Chief Training Officer Puneet Kumar informed that these cadets have demonstrated exceptional leadership and perseverance throughout their NCC training, embodying the values and spirit of the armed forces. “As they prepare to join the Army, they will undergo specialised training that will equip them with the skills needed to excel in their roles,” said Puneet Kumar.
