2 dead, several hurt in bus-truck collision on Beas river bridge

A horrific accident occurred on the Beas river bridge when a private bus collided with a truck today. The accident resulted in the death of two passengers, while several others were injured. The police arrived at the scene and rushed the injured to the hospital. An investigation has been launched into the mishap.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred at around noon when the bus, traveling from Amritsar to Jalandhar, collided with a truck carrying bricks. The bus was completely damaged in the accident. The identity of the two deceased individuals has not been confirmed yet. Several passengers were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The accident caused a massive traffic jam on the bridge. The driver of the bus fled the scene immediately after the accident.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident and are yet to arrest the driver.
