12 bullets seized at Amritsar airport

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel recovered 12 cartridges from a passenger at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport on Wednesday night. The accused, identified as Jagtar Singh Dhillon, was arrested by the CISF.

According to sources, CISF personnel scanned the baggage of the passenger and suspected something was amiss. Upon searching the bag, 12 cartridges were recovered. The accused was travelling from Amritsar to Kuala Lumpur on flight number AK-493. The CISF handed over the accused to the airport police. The cops are also investigating whether the recovered bullets are from licensed pistols or illegal ones. A female CISF officer was searching passengers on Wednesday night when the incident occurred.
