Ahead of the government’s formation in Jammu and Kashmir, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha-led administration has ordered the constitution of a Service Selection Board for the recruitments on non-gazetted posts.

In an official order, Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), stated that in exercise of the powers conferred by provisions of Article 309 of the Constitution, read with Section 15 of the J&K Civil Services (Decentralization and Recruitment) Act, 2010, the Lieutenant Governor is pleased to direct that the following Amendment shall be made in the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Decentralisation and Recruitment) Rules, 2010.

“There shall be constituted a Service Selection Board for making selection for the recruitment to Subordinate Services/non-gazetted/Class-IV (MTS) posts borne on the establishment of any department or service of the government or any public sector undertaking/government company/corporation/board/organisation and body substantially owned or controlled by the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” the order read.
