Sanitation not up to mark, finds Ambala MC Commissioner

The Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Ambala, Sachin Gupta, conducted a surprise inspection of sanitary conditions in Ambala City and Ambala Sadar on Thursday morning and found the conditions to be unsatisfactory.

As per the information, during the inspection, the sanitation work in the Cloth Market, Nadi Mohalla, and Sector 7 of Ambala City was found unsatisfactory. The Commissioner instructed the Chief Sanitation Inspector of the Municipal Corporation, Ambala, to ensure that sanitation work was promptly carried out at these locations. He also told him to manage the placement of dustbins in these areas.

Sachin Gupta also instructed the Chief Sanitary Inspector to make sure that the garbage was collected on time and adequate tractor-trailers should be made available in all wards and areas.

The Commissioner appealed to the residents to dispose of their waste in dustbins instead of throwing it in open spaces, so that the cleanliness of the city could be maintained.

Later, the Commissioner inspected the Ambala Sadar area, where sanitary conditions were found to be poor in some areas, including Railway Road and Rambagh Road.

The Commissioner instructed the Chief Sanitary Inspector of the Municipal Council, Ambala Sadar, to get these areas cleaned immediately.

Later Commissioner Sachin Gupta held a “Samadhan Shivir” at the Municipal Corporation office to address the complaints. A total of 22 applications were received regarding Property ID corrections, address changes, Part ID, and new ID creation. Out of these, 20 applications were resolved on the spot.

As per the corporation’s spokesman, the commission also held a meeting with the presidents of Ambala City and Ambala Sadar Market Associations. The market associations raised their concerns, and the Commissioner instructed the officials concerned to resolve the issues swiftly. He also appealed to the representatives of all associations to cooperate with the MC in maintaining cleanliness in their areas.
