The CBSE North Zone 2 Skating Championship, held at OPS Vidya Mandir School, Ambala, witnessed exceptional performances with over 2,000 participants competing. Hiten Saini of AKSIPS-45 delivered a stellar performance in the U-17 boys’ quad category, securing two gold medals — one in the 1, 000 m rink race and another in the one-lap road race. His outstanding achievements crowned him ‘Group Champion’ in the U-17 boys’ quad division. Due to Hiten’s victory, AKSIPS-45 emerged as the top-ranking school in this category. Principal Pamila Kaur expressed her joy by congratulating Hiten and wished him luck for his upcoming endeavours.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
