Akshay Kumar wears turban to play chief mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill in his next

Akshay Kumar is in London these days and has begun shooting for his next film. A leaked photo from the untitled movie shows hi donning a maroon turban with full beard. A Tinu Suresh Desai directorial, the film is based on life of Jaswant Singh Gill. We will see Akshay Kumar saving the lives of people from a coal mine.
According to a report in Variety, the leaked picture of Kumar is from the biopic on chief mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill who saved the lives of 64 miners who were trapped in a flooded coal mine at Raniganj of West Bengal in 1989.
The movie is bankrolled by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Jackky Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment.
This is third collaboration between Akshay and Tinu. Akshay was last seen in Tinu’s 2016 crime thriller Rustom. Desai was also the assistant director of Kumar’s Baby (2015).
Akshay Kumar has two released this year. There is Raksha Bandhan set to release on August 11 and Ram Setu scheduled for October 24 release.
