Expressing anguish over the allocation of the SAD ticket to Mahindra Rinwa from Abohar, SAD Khuiyansarwar circle president Gurvinder Singh Jakhar, district secretary Rohit Jhamb and district vice-president Chamkaur Singh have quit their offices.

Gurvinder said more workers would resign.

Gurvinder said Rinwa had joined the SAD only five months ago, but the party declared him candidate from Abohar against the wishes of party rank and file. “We had conveyed the sentiments of workers to the party chief in this regard earlier. He assured us he would consider our feelings, but the party did not take a wise decision,” he claimed. — TNS
