As the air quality has turned ‘severe’ in Delhi and NCR, the Haryana Government on Saturday asked the concerned deputy commissioners (DCs) to assess the prevailing situation and take decision on discontinuation of physical classes for upto Class 5th in all government and private schools of the region.

The government has asked the DCs to issue necessary directions for holding online classes for upto Class 5th in the schools (government and private) in the interest of the health and safety of students.

“The assessment for rural and urban areas of the concerned districts may be carried out separately”, reads the order.
