Ahead of farmers' march, ban on assembly of 5 or more people in Kaithal dist
The district administration has imposed Section 163 of the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita in Kaithal district in view of the farmers’ march to Delhi on December 6.
As per the order, gatherings of five or more people are prohibited. Additionally, processions whether on foot, by vehicle, or through any other means are also restricted.
The order also restricts any person or groups from carrying weapons such as sticks, batons, axes, knives, rods with flags, firearms, or other lethal weapons in vehicles within the district. Entry with flammable substances like petrol or diesel, or items such as bricks, stones, or glass bottles loaded onto tractor trolleys is also prohibited to prevent damage to public or private property.
The sale of inflammable materials like diesel or petrol in the open has been banned. The restrictions will not apply to on-duty police personnel, public servants, disabled persons, or individuals authorised by law. These orders will remain effective from December 5 until further notice to maintain law and order in the district.
