To strengthen the fight against unlawful activities and ensure effective legal action under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain visited Doda and chaired a meeting to review the status of UAPA cases of Doda and Kishtwar districts.

During the crime review, the ADGP assessed the progress of investigations, prosecution efforts and legal compliance in ongoing cases. The meeting aimed to enhance coordination between the police and prosecuting agencies, ensuring that all cases under UAPA are handled promptly and effectively.

Key highlights of the meeting included case progress analysis, in which a case-by-case review was conducted to evaluate the investigative progress and ensure timely collection of evidence and filing of charge sheets; directions on strengthening legal processes, maintaining strict adherence to UAPA provisions to ensure successful prosecution; and instructions on achieving inter-agency coordination.
