How did your acting journey start?

It started when I was in the second standard. My mama put a picture of mine on social media. I got a call for a commercial and grabbed that. That was 10 years back in 2011.

Do you miss a normal childhood?

I am still quite young and don’t believe that you need to grow up for a job. As I have said, the sheer happiness I feel in front of the camera is priceless. I have not missed out on anything.

How has your family supported you in your career?

One thing they have always said is whatever makes you happy, do that. Without them, I could not have done anything.

You are playing the lead in Barrister Babu. Have you seen the show earlier?

I have not seen it but I attended the workshops by the production team and also watched a few episodes to catch the essence of Bondita.

There will be comparisons between you and Aurra Bhatnagar, the child actor. How are you going to handle that?

She is a very bright kid. The way Aurra has portrayed Bondita’s role is amazing. I know there will be comparisons. But the leap is a natural progression. I will put in a lot of hard work to make my own place in the audiences’ heart.

What do you feel is your strength as an actor?

My happiness in front of the camera is visible and that is my biggest strength. I am blessed to be in this industry.

Who inspires you?

I really admire Deepika Padukone. I have seen all her films in the repeat mode. And then, Alia Bhatt. I loved all her films.

What is your unwinding process?

Music and dance. I can put on music and start dancing. That’s my stress-buster.
