Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) state president Sushil Gupta claimed that AAP would form the next government in Haryana with a clear majority. Gupta expressed the excitement and enthusiasm among AAP workers following Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal’s release from jail.

While interacting with mediapersons in the city on Saturday, Gupta alleged that the Union Government falsely implicated Kejriwal to keep him behind bars. “Kejriwal has now been released, and our campaign in Haryana will intensify with his participation. I will meet him on Sunday to discuss his plan to campaign in Haryana. He will start his campaign in a couple of days which will boost the party workers,” said Gupta. He also exhorted party workers to work for the party’s candidate Sunil Bindal in Karnal.

On being the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal, he said the Prime Minister could take a decision on it. “Water should be distributed fairly, and every state should receive its rightful share. It is the responsibility of the Union government and the Prime Minister to ensure a constitutional distribution of natural resources,” he added.

Promising a corruption-free, crime-free government, Gupta highlighted that AAP does not engage in politics based on caste or religion but focuses on development and work. He also reminded the public of the five guarantees AAP has offered to the people of Haryana.

Gupta criticised the current state government and accused it of rampant corruption. “Haryana has seen 40 paper leaks during this government’s tenure, and the state ranks number one in unemployment. Sixteen districts in Haryana are battling drug addiction,” he alleged.
