AAP legislator’s father in trouble over video featuring AK-47

A video of Surinder Kamboj, father of AAP legislator from Jalalabad Jagdeep Kamboj, alias Goldy, dancing with a woman holding an AK-47 has gone viral.

The Opposition has launched a scathing attack on the AAP MLA after the video surfaced online. Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia demanded a thorough probe into the matter.

Several efforts to contact Surinder, who had contested the Lok Sabha elections on the BSP’s ticket from the Ferozepur parliamentary constituency, proved futile.

AAP MLA Goldy said he had nothing to do with his father as they both had been living separately for the past several years.

Fazilka Senior Superintendent of Police Varinder Singh Brar said the matter was under probe. The SSP said Surinder was provided a gunman with AK-47 during the Lok Sabha elections.

He said the police would verify the authenticity of the video and take action against the persons concerned.
