AAP leaders rejoice over bail to Kejriwal
Workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) rejoiced over the bail granted to party convener Arvind Kejriwal in the excise scam case. Senior leaders including MLA Central Ajay Gupta and Amritsar Improvement Trust Chairman Ashok Talwar organised a gathering of workers, distributed sweets and danced on drum beats.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Central Ajay Gupta said that the BJP government at the Centre wants to keep the leadership of Aam Aadmi Party in jail through false cases by misusing the Central investigation agencies. “We have trust in the Constitution made by Dr Ambedkar and in the end, truth will be victorious,” said the MLA.
AAP district president Manish Agarwal said that the release of Arvind Kejriwal will benefit the Aam Aadmi Party in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Lok Sabha in-charge Iqbal Singh Bhullar, District Urban Improvement Trust Chairman Ashok Talwar, Member of Amritsar Development Authority Kunal Dhawan, District Planning Board Chairman Jaspreet Singh, district secretary Mukhwinder Singh Virdi, senior leader Anil Mahajan, Dr Inderpal, Sarbjot Singh, Varun Rana and a large number of volunteers were present on the occasion.
