AAP flays raids at MP Sanjeev Arora’s house
Senior AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia condemned the raids being conducted at the residence of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora in Punjab by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case.
The raid at the AAP MP's residence this morning was a result of the exit polls in Haryana, Sisodia further stated. “A Prime Minister who only focuses on breaking a party and targeting Arvind Kejriwal, while ignoring the growing unemployment and rising inflation in the country, is a dangerous leader for the people,” he added.
Meanwhile, earlier in the day, responding to the raids, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal said, “This is not an investigation against corruption; it is clearly an orchestrated attempt by the Prime Minister to crush one party using every resource, agency, and power at his disposal.” The misuse of agencies have rendered them powerless, it has made them weak in front of the courts, he added.
The AAP convener also expressed his confidence in the party’s integrity, asserting that AAP has always stood for honesty and accountability. “We have God on our side, and we have done nothing wrong. Despite these attempts to malign us, we remain unshaken and fearless,” he added.
Furthermore, AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “The PM of India is only focused on one thing: destroying the AAP. What will he achieve by putting people in jail? You are so consumed with hatred that you cannot think about what you will do for the country.”
“Those who bow down to this man are spared, no matter how corrupt they are. We, the members of AAP, continue to fight,” he added.
