As many as 926 students were awarded degrees during the convocation of Chandigarh University, Gharuan. Dutch Nobel laureate in Physics Professor Gerardus T Hooft and Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu awarded the degrees to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Twelve students were conferred gold medals in different academic disciplines. “The young generation has the responsibility of taking their respective nations forward, especially in the field of research,” said Prof Hooft.
