Around 650 students proudly wore the academic gown at the annual convocation held at Lyallpur Khalsa College here today.

The chief guest at the event was Dr Harpreet Singh, Professor, IIT Ropar. He conferred degrees upon the students who had completed their Masters in sessions 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 in various academic streams.

Delivering the convocation address, Dr Singh urged the young scholars to work hard for the achievement of their respective goals. He lauded the management, principal Dr Jaspal Singh and staff of the institution for their endeavours. President of the College Governing Council Balbir Kaur welcomed the guests. In his address, principal Dr Jaspal Singh highlighted the achievements of the college in academics and sports.

The occasion was marked by the presence of Jaspal Singh Waraich, joint secretary and members of the Governing Council and management committee Sukhraj Kaur Sandhu, Prabhpal Singh Pannu and the staff. In the end, vice-principal Prof Jasreen Kaur thanked the guests, the entire Governing Council, principal, Prof Navdeep Kaur, Registrar, Dr Harjit Singh, staff and students. The stage was managed by Dr Upma Arora and Dr Daljit Kaur.
