Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij stated that 500 health and wellness centres, including yoga centres, would be established across the state. This initiative has been provisioned in the Budget, Vij said.

Relief for govt employees

As many as 556 empanelled hospitals had been included, and 1,340 treatment packages had been integrated into the scheme’s portal. The expansion will fulfil the long-pending demand of the government employees and provide significant relief in bearing the healthcare costs of their familie.

He stated that the scope of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana had been expanded to cover more beneficiaries. The aim was to focus on preventive healthcare through Ayush systems of medicine, rather than just treatment.

He also mentioned that cashless health facilities had been implemented for all regular government employees since January 1, 2024. The move aimed at reducing the financial burden of healthcare expenses on the employees.

He further said 556 empanelled hospitals had been included, and 1,340 treatment packages had been integrated into the scheme’s portal. The expansion would fulfil the long-pending demand of the government employees and provide significant relief in bearing the healthcare costs of their families.

He said since last year, the benefits of the Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat Yojana had been started in the state for those families whose annual income as per the PPP was between Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. For this, they had to pay an annual payment of Rs 1,500. But now, the benefits of the Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat Yojana had been extended to the families with annual incomes ranging from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh. Those in the income bracket of Rs 3 lakh to Rs 6 lakh would pay an annual contribution of Rs 4,000, and those earning over Rs 6 lakh annually would contribute Rs 5,000 per year, to avail the benefits of the Chirayu-Ayushman Bharat scheme.

He also highlighted the commencement of kidney transplant by Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak, in 2023 and the forthcoming initiation of liver transplant facility, for which approvals had been given. These initiatives aimed at enhancing the healthcare accessibility and affordability for the residents of Haryana, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being, he said.
