50 cops, 2 bulletproof vehicles, 12 'escort' vehicles to ensure Lawrence Bishnoi's security: Punjab police to Delhi court
Bathinda, June 14
A Delhi court on Tuesday allowed Punjab Police to arrest gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
Lawrence Bishnoi’s lawyer Vishal Chopra said if Lawrence was taken to Punjab, his life would be in danger and he could also be killed in a fake encounter.
Punjab Police counsel argued in the court that if the custody of Lawrence Bishnoi was handed over to the police by the court then the full responsibility of security would rest with the Punjab Police comprising about 50 cops and two bulletproof vehicles.
Besides 12 vehicles will run along the road that will clear the road.
All routes will be videographed.
The Advocate General office has filed an application regarding this in Patiala House court in Delhi.
