  • Besides, citizen facilitation centres had been set up in all three offices of the MC in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri to expedite the work related to this.

He said MC teams had also organised camps in every ward to help people get their IDs corrected. “In terms of the self-certification work of property IDs, we stand at the first position in Haryana. We are making efforts to achieve a 100 per cent self-certification mark as early as possible,” said Municipal Commissioner Sinha.

According to information, the drive is being undertaken to ensure that the data of property owners, including name, plot size and address, are correct so that people get accurate tax bills and do not have to face any problem in executing the sale and purchase registrations at the Revenue Department.

Sinha appealed to the locals to cooperate with the MC employees, who were visiting door-to-door to get the certification work done.

“People should verify their property IDs themselves. If one self certifies their property ID, it will be locked and no one will be able to tamper with it,” said the Municipal Commissioner. He said if the property owner was unable to verify his property himself, he could get it verified in MC offices.
