4 rural students to get free education up to Class XII

Will study at VidyaGyan School in UP’s Bundelkhand

Four meritorious students from rural areas of the state have been selected for free education up to Class XII at VidyaGyan School of the Shiv Nadar Foundation.

The students include Prajwal of GPS, Sanahu, in Shimla; Mandeep of GPS, Manlog Kalan, in Solan; Kritisha Pandey of Rohru, Shimla; and Sonakshi, GPS, Rohru.

The students were selected through a two-stage entrance examination, which was conducted for the first time in the state.

The students will join the institution at Bundelkhand, UP, from the next academic session.

Education Minister Rohit Thakur congratulated the meritorious students for their selection, and wished them good luck for their future endeavors.

He said the institution offered a unique opportunity for talented students from underprivileged background to receive quality education and realise their potential.

VidyaGyan is a fully residential, co-educational institution that provides world-class education for classes VI-XII exclusively for talented students from rural, underprivileged backgrounds.

“These students are selected on merit and are provided exceptional opportunity to excel in their academic and leadership journey at no cost,” said Thakur.

The achievement highlighted the commitment of the Department of Elementary Education towards identifying and nurturing talent in rural areas, the Education Minister added.
