4 get life term for murdering youth in Faridabad
District and Sessions Judge Sandeep Garg sentenced four persons to life imprisonment after being convicted of murder. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 77,000 each on the convict.
According to prosecution, the convicts, identified as Manoj Kumar; Pawan, alias Katia; Sonu and Dinesh were friends with the victim Jitender, alias Jeetu, who used to bear their expenses on getting drugs as all of them were addicts and used to meet often.
It was reported that as Pawan bought a new motorcycle in July 2019, it was taken away by Jeetu for a ride. Pawan was asked to throw a party in this connection. Jeetu, who had left his house on July 5, was found murdered the next day. It was alleged that the four accused attacked the victim while partying.
Meanwhile, in another case, Additional Sessions Judge Jyoti Lamba sentenced one Laxman, a resident of Ladauli village, to 10 years of imprisonment in a case of drug smuggling after being convicted during the trial. He was fined with an amount of Rs 50,000. The accused had been arrested by the police on May 12, 2018, on the charges of possession of 8 kg of ganja.
