Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian has said people’s works should be completed promptly without any hassle and delay. He added that a world-class infrastructure should be built in a planned manner.

During the first review meeting, Mundian told officials that the state government’s priority was to providing better and corruption-free services to citizens.

Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Rahul Tewari told the minister that the department had collected Rs 3,000 crore revenue through transparent auction of properties and the target was to earn Rs 1,500 crore more.

The Housing and Urban Development Minister said the auction should be completed during the festive season and people should get their dream home.

He said the department should conduct an e-auction of properties through the Rail-Tel portal in a transparent manner so that maximum revenue can be collected for the government. Earlier, Rahul Tewari welcomed the minister and said strict action was being taken against unauthorised colonies.
