32nd district CSC kicks off
The 32nd district-level Child Science Conference (CSC) commenced at Him Academy Public School, Vikas Nagar, near here today.
As many as 292 students from 70 schools of the district were participating in the conference and the best performers would represent the district in the state-level conference.
Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director, Elementary Education, was the chief guest of the event, while Anil Kaushal, Deputy Director, Higher Education, and Deputy District Education Officer Onkar Singh Bhatia were the special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar said, “Events like the CSC help in developing scientific thinking among students.” He said that many scientists globally had developed curiosity to learn and do reasoning at this stage of life.
Kumar added that the governments are regularly encouraging students to come up with new ideas and proposals. The winners would also get an opportunity to participate at national-level.
Earlier, District Science Supervisor Rajesh Gautam talked about the Children Science Congress to the participants and escort teachers present.
The officers of the Education Department honoured Professor RC Lakhanpal Chairman of Him Academy Public School Vikasnagar, Chairperson Chandraprabha Lakhanpal and Directors Er, Pankaj Lakhanpal and Principal Er. Himanshu Sharma for providing state of art facilities to organise district-level Children Science Congress on the campus.
