32-year-old man beaten to death

A 32-year-old was beaten to death for allegedly smashing the glass of a tempo in Agar Nagar area of Rohini, police officials said on Tuesday.

Police said that on Monday night at about 11.18 pm, a PCR call regarding death of a person in Agar Nagar was received at the Prem Nagar police station.

The police reached the spot and found aperson having multiple injuries on his body. “He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared brought dead. The body was preserved in the mortuary for post-mortem,” an official said.

The father of the deceased said that his son Deepak was mentally unstable and had broken the glass of the tempo of a neighbour in the street on Monday and some boys assaulted him with a stick and a rod after which he succumbed to his injuries.

Accordingly, a case was registered under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
